	list of canon sources: the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga. list of non canon sources: everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality. for those that blindly follow word of god

If you rule out that he doesn't want to lose eyesight in an eye, then we can have a different debate. I guess I'd go for Kabuto then since Itachi believed he'd lose to Jiraya (probably cos sage mode).

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	Yeah I don't think Itachi would use Izanami if he just wanted to kill him. Unless he found Kabuto too much of a challengem which he probably would but Izanami takes time and Kabuto would have less to worry about without Sasuke there so he'd be fighting harder most likely. If he spends ages with the whole "We're the same" crap he loses but if he focuses on the fight Kabuto would win. Look how easily he would own with controlling the ground, assuming in the same cave Itachi couldn't dodge that, he was trying to protect Sasuke but even without that you can't really dodge a cave. Outside that wouldn't really work for a kill but a distraction at least.

It's an unnecessary power that just gives one person unlimited Chakra, regenerates, and the other person has to either seal them or completely destroy the body with a yin-yang technique. If we're talking about the canonical fight except without Sasuke being there, Kabuto wins. All he has to do is un-cast Edo-Tensei.

Also Lunar (kept it free of any extensive detail) Manga spoiler People can be summoned again, it's not been done in quick succession but previously summoned characters have been summoned again. I'd imagine there is some kind of cooldown period though. Actually Kabuto could have won this if Itachi never had Sasuke's sword, when they clash Itachi would have no defence against the chakra scalpel so there's that. I mean he has kunai still I'd imagine but they hardly help as much as the sword did.

Thinking about this again it could really go either way, Susanoo is very hax with it's shield and sword. They both couldn't release their full Susanoo in that small cave.
